  HELPERS / TOP HELPERS / JOURNEYMEN / FOREMEN

 

Walker Electric Co is a dynamic commercial & industrial electrical contractor servicing York County and the surrounding counties for over 70 years. We are currently seeking electricians with a wide variety of experience.

 

Foremen/Journeymen must have a solid work history with at least 5 years of experience as a commercial electrician for Foremen and 2 years for a Journeymen. Must be a professional, self starter and have excellent communication skills to communicate with other employees. Must be proficient working independently and in a team atmosphere. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications; must be able to lay out work independently.

 

Foreman/Journeyman Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Foreman will need at least 5 years field experience or combination of                                      

   training/experience for. 2 years will be required for Journeyman position.

• Considerable knowledge of the National Electrical Code.

• Thorough knowledge of OSHA Regulations.

• Ability to demonstrate safe working habits and proper care of tools &    

   equipment.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Ability to pass a drug test.

 

Job Specifics: Full Time, Competitive Pay, Health, Dental and PTO available.

 

 

Helper / Top Helper Experience is a plus but not required. Must be a self starter and have excellent communication skills to communicate with other employees. Duties include assisting Foremen and Journeymen in all aspects of electrical work; gathering materials and tools, keeping work area and equipment clean, measuring, cutting, bending wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools.

 

Helper / Top Helper Requirements:

• Ability to demonstrate safe working habits.

• Proper care of tools & equipment.

• Physical ability to dig ditches.

• Willingness to learn is the top requirement.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Ability to pass a drug test.
